Creating awareness around mental health

EDMONTON – One in five Albertans will experience mental illness or addiction in any given year.

As we recognize World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10, and Mental Illness Awareness Week from Oct. 6 to 12, Recovery Alberta is reminding Albertans of the mental health supports in place. You are not alone.

  • 1-844-944-4744, Monday to Friday from noon to 8 p.m. Available for First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples to answer questions and help support culturally appropriate care.

Recovery Alberta aims to help anyone experiencing a mental illness or addiction to achieve and maintain remission or manage a mental health problem or illness, and live a satisfying, hopeful and contributing life, even when symptoms are present.
