Recovery Alberta's Perinatal Addiction and Mental Health Services is a network of programs that work together to strengthen support for individuals during pregnancy and the first year after birth.
Perinatal mental health resources and training for clinicians is available to support improved screening, early identification, and evidence-informed care for mental health and substance use.
Perinatal substance use resources and guides are also available to promote compassionate, stigma-free support for people who use substances during pregnancy and postpartum. Guided, in part, by a focused operational plan, these services aim to enhance perinatal addiction and mental health support through stronger collaboration across primary care, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, and community partners.
